Royal Voluntary Service volunteers provide practical help and companionship that make a big difference to the lives of thousands of older people each month, helping them to live more independent lives.
As part of our Community Companions and One to One Support services, they pop in regularly for a chat over a cup of tea or as part of Community Transport, drive people that can’t get out and about to GP or hospital appointments or even to the local shops.
Volunteers also deliver books to those who love reading but can’t get to their local library with Home Library Services (also known as Books on Wheels).
Community Companions services provide friendship when it's needed.
Royal Voluntary Service provides Community Transport including hospital transport services to help less mobile people get out and about.
Our Home Library Services deliver reading materials to people who can’t get to a library.
Our One to One Support Services help build confidence and reconnections.
