How your support today can help make a difference

Our wide range of services in hospitals and the community help vulnerable people to thrive, through one to one health support, group activities and via our online community platforms.

This year we will:

• Make 80,000 welfare calls to isolated, vulnerable people. As well as providing much needed companionship these calls also help us to find out what support people need to help them feel ready to get out and about again.
• Support people over 200,000 times. Many will have been discharged from hospital and we work with them at home to support their recovery and avoid hospital re-admissions and ease pressure on the NHS.
• Support over 1,100 people living with dementia through our specialist Living Well with Dementia support groups. 
• Drive over 550,000 miles to help take vulnerable people to vital medical appointments, to social clubs and to collect essential groceries and prescriptions.
• Support almost 100,000 people online through our Virtual Village Hall, helping people keep their minds and bodies active.
• Make around 45,000 home visits as part of our library services providing welcome reading material along with a friendly chat with one of or volunteers.
