The charity celebrates the new patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, who had previously been President of Royal Voluntary Service since 2012.
Royal Voluntary Service celebrated the 50th anniversary of the charity’s much-loved Leicester General Hospital trolley service with a special guest volunteering behind the wheels.
Today, Her Majesty The Queen met with volunteers and participants from leading charity Royal Voluntary Service, of which she is President, during a visit to Shrewsbury.

More than seven million took part in last year’s Big Help Out - getting together to volunteer, and make a difference in their local area – and organisers are have launched the 2024 edition with support from His Majesty the King.
Popular TV personality, Gaby Roslin, has embraced volunteering, rolling up her sleeves and donning an apron at Royal Voluntary Service’s Mill End Lunch Club, to mark the launch of the charity’s latest volunteer recruitment campaign, Playing My Part.
Dunne assumes the role as Chair of Royal Voluntary Service this month alongside five new members of the Board of Trustees.
