How the free Wills service works
Royal Voluntary Service has partnered with the National Free Wills Network so you can have a simple Will written or updated for free, usually with a solicitor local to you.
Please note that the solicitor preparing your Will would be acting solely in your interest, and will take instructions only from you, not from Royal Voluntary Service.
Most people choose to meet their solicitor in-person, however, if travelling is difficult or if you would prefer, there is usually the alternative option of a remote appointment.
You are under no obligation to leave a gift to Royal Voluntary Service, but once loved ones are taken care of, a percentage of what is left could help ensure our services are here for generations to come.
To use this free Wills service, you must be 18 years or older and live in the UK or Ireland.
Getting started is easy
- Simply complete the short form below
- You will then be contacted by the National Free Wills Network with details of solicitors available to support you. This will usually include solicitors local to you for an in-person appointment, as well as information about the availability of remote appointments.
-
Choose a solicitor from the list provided and contact them to make an appointment.
- Once your Will has been finalised, we will pay the cost of your simple Will. If your Will is more complex, you will be advised of any potential costs by your solicitor ahead of completing your Will, so you don't receive any unexpected bills.
