Social Clubs and Events

Soial Clubs and Events at Royal Voluntary Service
Social Clubs come in all shapes and sizes and provide a wide range of activities, from dancing, crafts and gentle exercises as well as a chance to catch up with friends locally.

Our activity and hobby clubs might play host to music, guest speakers and specialist interest events. Equally we may organise trips to other venues; to indoor bowls, for example. Staying active and keeping in touch with friends is important at any age, but when you’re older, it is crucial.

Royal Voluntary Service and Prudential UK are working together to provide free and enjoyable new social events. The First Time for Everything project supports active ageing and aims to improve quality of life for older people in locations across Britain.

Try something new for free!

From making a pot on a potter’s wheel to learning the art of tai chi, a range of fun, monthly social events will be held at community locations across the country.

At a First Time for Everything event you can expect to meet new people, in a friendly and welcoming environment as well as take part in an exciting activity.

Watch our film showing a First Time for Everything event teaching Bollywood dancing that took place in London to see what you can expect.

Get in touch if you'd like to join us at one of our events, find out more information or share your ideas for future First Time for Everything events.
