Measuring our impact
Volunteering can transform lives – for volunteers, for the people they help and for the communities they live in. At its best, volunteering connects people with communities, provides a double benefit for those being helped and the helper themselves, promotes health and wellbeing and provides opportunities for people to develop a range of skills and experiences.
We regularly ask our volunteers and the people they support about the difference that being part of Royal Voluntary Service makes to their lives.
In addition, following the setting up at pace of the NHS Volunteer Responders (now known as NHS and Care Volunteer Responders) , the programme continues to evolve. We asked patients, Volunteer Responders, healthcare professionals and other professionals making referrals into the programme about its impact and potential improvements.
