Yakult believes in contributing to the wellbeing for all, and therefore have partnered with the charity Royal Voluntary Service, to call on people to volunteer and support those in need in their local communities and hospitals to help meet the challenges of today.

The #MakeADifference campaign, will call upon the general public to support the older generation in different ways from donating to volunteering themselves. The charity’s volunteers provide practical help and companionship which makes a big difference to the lives of thousands of older people each month, helping them to live more independent and fulfilled lives.

There are many examples of how volunteering can help change lives and the campaign will help highlight some of these key services. For example, Royal Voluntary Service Lunch Clubs, offer a nutritious hot meal served in a warm, sociable setting. The clubs help people who seek companionship or comfort from being isolated at home, by providing time with others. In November the partnership will showcase why these lunch clubs are so important.

"We are delighted to be partnering with Yakult to demonstrate the difference our volunteers make across the country, day in and day out. We sincerely hope the #MakeADifference campaign will result in more people supporting the charity or joining our ranks and providing vital help to those who need it in the community and in hospitals."

Mel Garfield, Head of Communications for Royal Voluntary Service

"Royal Voluntary Service has provided care and support for the community for over 80 years. Although the challenges have changed over the years, the need for volunteers is still as important as ever. In this campaign we hope to highlight some of the fantastic work the team do to inspire the next generation of volunteers to help look after people in their local communities."

Reshma Patel, Marketing Manager for Yakult UK and Ireland

The campaign will bring to light the different areas of which Royal Voluntary Services work from their lunch clubs, which bring people together, to helping people continue to exercise and their services within hospitals. The partnership wants people to support the charity in different ways from donating, supporting and volunteering.
