Great North Run
|Date||11 September 2022|
Join Team Royal Voluntary Service in 2022 as we take on the Great North Run.
Every autumn over 54,000 people head to Newcastle to take part in the World’s most popular Half Marathon – The Simplyhealth Great North Run. Join them in 2021 and run to raise money for Royal Voluntary Service and the people we support.
We have a small number of guaranteed places for this event. In return for a fundraising target of £350, we'll send you everything you need to ensure a great race experience. You'll get a fundraising guide, professional training guides, lots of fundraising support and your very own running top to wear on the day.
Why run for Royal Voluntary Service?
By running for us, you will help Royal Voluntary Service in giving even more support to people who need it in our hospitals and communities right across the UK. We rely on the tireless support of fundraisers like you to help raise the funds we need every day so our volunteers can keep on reaching out with friendship, coordinating local social events and giving practical support to vulnerable people all over the country.
We’ll support you all the way
What you can expect:
- A welcome pack full of fundraising materials and tips.
- Royal Voluntary Service running vest.
- Regular emails and communication about your event and fundraising in the lead up to race day.

As Royal Voluntary Service is a charity I support, it was a no-brainer for me
Jonathan, who ran the Great North Run for Royal Voluntary Service added, "I was honoured to take on the challenge so that I could give something back to them as a thank you for their wonderful services."
