Chesham Centre - Community Cafe

Social Activities

Description

A weekly programme of activities is available at Chesham House Centre. Our staff and volunteers understand that sometimes the loss of a partner, reduced mobility or illness can cause loss of confidence and before you know the television has become your best friend. Joining a club or just visiting somewhere new can be a very daunting prospect. With this in mind, we have built a Vintage Tea Room which is a great soft introduction for anyone lacking in confidence to come along and get a feel for the building, find out about our activities and get to know the wonderful volunteers that run them. The Vintage Tea Room is a great excuse to just pop in for a cuppa and slice of homemade cake. With bone china teacups and a proper teapot, it's a real home from home. Those who have made it across the threshold to Chesham House don't look back, once they come, they are hooked. Everyone tells us what a lovely friendly place it is and they can feel the warmth in the atmosphere when they walk in. Many new friendships have been formed; it's always good to know that people care about you.
