Supporting social care services

Our volunteers support people receiving social care within the community and in care homes.

We provide:

  • Help with practical tasks – volunteers help with low-level tasks within care homes or an individual’s home
  • Tailored volunteer support for each care home helping to contribute to a positive CQC rating
  • Provision of support and transport to help individuals access community assets, services and agencies
  • Trained team – service delivered by experienced and trained staff and volunteers.

For individuals:

  • Improved mood, wellbeing and cognitive function
  • Fun, enjoyable social time
  • Reduced loneliness and isolation
  • Reduced depression and anxiety
  • More social connections.

For health and care services:

  • Reduced pressure on staff – enabling more time for enhanced care
  • Reduced staff attrition and providing pathways for recruitment through volunteering
  • Positive impact on CQC ratings
  • Greater family satisfaction with care.
