Getting out and about
One in three older people find it difficult to get where they want to go, particularly if they are without a car or find the bus difficult. Transport is vital to helping older people stay independent at home and active in their local communities - and we are here to help.
Every year, the Royal Voluntary Service provides around 87,000 journeys to hospital and GP appointments, to the shops or into town.
