Ladbrokes

The Ladbrokes Charitable Trust chose Royal Voluntary Service as its Christmas charity of 2012 and committed to raise £50,000 to support older people.
Our appeal focused on the loneliness suffered by many older people, and the vital services that Royal Voluntary Service volunteers provide to help alleviate this around Christmas from Meals on Wheels to lunch clubs and activities in community centres.
Ladbrokes staff fundraise over the Christmas period at their 2,200 shops nationwide with local store managers putting their own unique mark on their fundraising activity with local customers.
"Whilst for many Christmas is a time of joy and spending time with family, it is vital not to forget those who may not have these ties, who might be recently bereaved, and who may feel like this is one of the loneliest periods of the year. We’re very proud to support Royal Voluntary Service’ initiative this year and hope that our staff can help to make an important contribution to improving quality of lives across the UK during the festive period."
Mike O'Kane - Chairman of the Trustees - Ladbrokes Charitable Trust
