NatWest Group & Royal Voluntary Service partner to support volunteering across the UK

As a Founder Member of the charity-backed volunteering platform, GoVo, NatWest will champion volunteering within the group and beyond. Agreement supports NatWest’s ambition to deliver even greater impact through employee volunteering and build on the 142,000 hours colleagues contributed in 2025.

NatWest and Royal Voluntary Service today announced a new partnership that aims to help volunteering grow across the UK, with NatWest becoming a Founder Member of GoVo, the charity’s digital volunteering platform.

As a Founder Member, NatWest will work alongside Royal Voluntary Service to support GoVo’s ongoing development, ensuring it meets the needs of individuals and organisations, while becoming part of a wider national effort to champion volunteering and encourage more people to give their time to support communities.

NatWest will also use GoVo for Business – the platform’s employer offering - to further scale the impact of its employee volunteering programme. The bank’s 40,000 UK colleagues, who are each entitled to three days volunteering leave annually, can use GoVo to find volunteering opportunities in their local area and to suit their schedules and interests.

The partnership builds on NatWest’s longstanding commitment to volunteering. In 2025 alone, colleagues contributed 142,000 volunteering hours, supporting charities and community organisations. This includes activity that supports NatWest’s focus on helping people manage their money, and helping people build better businesses, through programmes such as NatWest Thrive, Financial Foundations and Accelerator.

"Having NatWest as a Founder Member of GoVo is a significant step. The bank has a strong track record in employee volunteering and its colleagues have already made a huge contribution.

"We need volunteers more than ever and businesses like NatWest can be powerful advocates, helping make volunteering a bigger part of working life and in communities.

"We’re delighted to be working with the NatWest team and to welcome the perspective and expertise they bring as we continue to develop GoVo and make volunteering more accessible to more people. We’re also excited to see the impact NatWest’s colleagues will make through GoVo and the wide range of charities and causes that will benefit from their time and skills."

Carole Urey, Chief Commercial Officer, Royal Voluntary Service

"Volunteering is an important part of who we are as an organisation and we’re incredibly proud of the contribution our colleagues make to communities across the UK.

"By working with Royal Voluntary Service, we can make it easier for even more colleagues to find opportunities that fit their interests and availability, while supporting a shared ambition to encourage greater participation in volunteering more widely."

Michael Duncan, Head of Giving Strategy & Programmes, NatWest Group

Launched in October 2025, GoVo makes it easier for people to give their time in ways that work for them, connecting volunteers with more than 1,900 charities and 600+ opportunities in every UK postcode. It responds to the urgent need for more volunteers, at a time when pressure on charities and in communities is increasing.

Notes to editors:

  • Charities can use GoVo free of charge to find volunteers, while the income generated from businesses is reinvested into Royal Voluntary Service’s charitable mission, Volunteering for All.

  • The GoVo for Business offer includes platform access and support to help organisations launch, grow and evidence employee volunteering, in addition to curated team days, bespoke volunteering experiences, a dedicated Customer Success Manager, consultancy, skills-based volunteering and support to evidence ESG and social value outcomes.
