Volunteers leading the way - VFORCE
It’s an exciting time for Royal Voluntary Service as we continue with our aim to enrich the lives of two million older people by 2023. And to help us achieve this we’ve launched V-Force – an ambitious programme which places a renewed focus on the volunteer experience at Royal Voluntary Service and recognises the many talents volunteers can bring and the responsibilities many are eager to take on.
V-Force will see a number of pilot services run and inspired by volunteer leaders, so we can learn how best to grow a range of interesting new activities designed and led by volunteers themselves. In addition V-Force will shape how Royal Voluntary Service can provide all volunteers with an exciting, enjoyable and valuable experience.

David McCullough, our chief executive explains more about the programme and why volunteering is as important for society now as it was when our organisation was founded in 1938.
As David said, if you have the experience and and want to find out more about how your skills and knowledge can help in this programme then we’d love to hear from you.
This unique volunteering role will help develop a world-class approach to volunteering and contribute to a community engagement pilot taking the support and activities they provide to older people to new heights.
We believe that this will allow us to build on the essential support that Royal Voluntary Service volunteers offer vulnerable older people across the UK while giving volunteers the superb experience that they deserve.
We’re looking for forward thinking volunteers to lead the way, both men and women, that can be the driving force for change in their local community teams.
