About

Hospital trolley service volunteers are needed to help provide a trolley shop service offering refreshments, reading material and engaging socially with older people. Additional tasks will include cash handling and reconciliation and ensuring stock is replenished and rotated.

This is an ideal opportunity if you want to make new friends, to develop your skills and experience and contribute to the work of the charity.

You’ll need to have a friendly personality, an understanding of the needs of older people with the ability to observe and identify areas of concern. You’ll have good communication and listening skills with a non-judgemental attitude towards an individual’s circumstances and a willingness to ensure confidentiality.

Training will be provided and you will be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses.

HOSPITAL TROLLEY SERVICE VOLUNTEER (Southend Hospital): Are you looking to gain experience in a hospital or health centre environment and brighten the stay for patients? Become a Trolley Service Volunteer and bring refreshments and a friendly face to older people not able to go to the shop.
