Professional musician Sheila Joynes travels back in time to discover how music examinations have changed since 1937. Sheila discusses an interesting recent musical discovery: an Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) Grade 1 Piano examination paper from 1937. In this video, she compares the 80+ year old exam paper with a modern Grade 1 paper, playing some of the example pieces.
