There is no obligation to enclose a donation to Royal Voluntary Service to be eligible to win in the Annual Prize Draw or any of the additional draws.
Entry for all draws is by invitation only among residents of the United Kingdom. The draws are open to all recipients who are over 18 years of age in their name only, except employees (and their families) of Royal Voluntary Service or any of its subsidiary companies, its agencies or any other companies having any connection with the production of any or all of the draws.
You can enter each draw every time you receive an invitation and every entry has a separate and additional chance of winning. If you choose not to enter on any occasion, any entries which you have previously submitted (or subsequently submit) to the Annual Prize Draw will be entered in the Annual Prize Draw.
All entries for the Annual Prize Draw must be received on or before the closing date of 31 March 2023. All entries for any other draws included in the pack (alternatives are described below in clause 8) must be returned within 7 days of receipt of the pack. Royal Voluntary Service will accept no responsibility for lost, damaged or non-delivered entries. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery. Illegible entries will be disqualified.
Winning entries for the Annual Prize Draw will be selected at random by computer from all those received by the closing date, within 14 days of the closing date, and prizes will be awarded in order of value.
The prizes for the Annual Prize Draw are: 1 x Grand Prize (or the alternative cash prize of £15,000 if you have made a donation), 1 x First Prize (or the alternative cash prize of £2,500 if you have made a donation), 1 x Second Prize (or the alternative cash prize of £1,000 if you have made a donation), 50 x Third Prizes (value £30 each).
Models of prizes may vary from those shown and the prize fund may be illustrated and presented differently in our Annual Prize Draw promotions. Every entry with a donation has a chance to win cash instead of the Grand Prize and First and Second prizes (if selected). Every entry without a donation has a chance to win the other prizes as described. If you have made a donation with one or more entries but not with others, only the entries made with donations will entitle you to the cash prize, but Royal Voluntary Service may decide (in its discretion) to award the cash prize to you.
Additional draws may be any of the following and winners will be selected as follows: - Fast Response draws or Bonus draws – one winner will be selected at random by computer. The prizes for these draws will be described in the pack. - Alphabet draws – winners have been pre-selected from all entry invitations issued. One winner whose surname begins with each letter of the alphabet will win £100 if the pre-selected winner replies. If the pre-selected winner does not reply, no further selection will take place. - Postcode draws – one winner will be selected at random by computer from each of the 124 postcode sectors in Great Britain (for example, CF or DE). The prizes for postcode draws will be described in the pack. - Birthday bonus draws – a date between 1 January 1913 and 1 January 1998 will be selected at random by computer. If only one entrant who has a matching date of birth replies they will receive a £100 cash prize. If more than one entrant has a matching date of birth and replies, one winner will be selected at random by computer from all those received and will receive a £100 cash prize. In the event that no exact match is entered, a £100 cash prize will be awarded to the entrant with the nearest date of birth to the pre-selected date.
Winners of prizes in all draws will be notified by post or telephone within 28 days from the closing date and arrangements made with you to get your prize to you. Details of the winners and prizes awarded will be sent on request to anyone who supplies a stamped self-addressed envelope to: Royal Voluntary Service Winners, Royal Voluntary Service, Beck Court, Cardiff Gate Business Park, Cardiff CF23 8RP. Royal Voluntary Service’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
If a winner does not claim their prize within six months of the date of notification then the prize will be withdrawn. No other winner will be selected.
Royal Voluntary Service reserves the right to use the name(s) of the winner(s) of all draws with town name and a photograph in any future mailings or promotional material. Winners agree to provide a photo or be photographed.
