On The Ward Dundee

Our trained volunteers support patient recovery on ward alongside the clinical teams. As well as company and discussion our volunteers build confidence and strength through targeted resistance focussed chair based exercises, one to one or in small groups, hydration and nutrition guidance, helping you return home and back to their community as quickly as possible. If you have mild to moderate dementia our volunteers offer dedicated support and Cognitive Stimulation Therapy programmes throughout your hospital stay which can include reminiscence activity or providing company and reassurance when you need to attend a clinic or X-ray away from the ward.
