Help Royal Voluntary Service to support older and vulnerable people throughout Great Britain during the coronavirus pandemic and in the months to come as our NHS and our communities recover and do a virtual fundraising event to support our work.
There are a number of ways you can fundraise for us.
Here are some virtual fundraising ideas for you to do from your home! These are a great way to keep connected with your friends and family, to help you stay active and to learn new skills. Your support will help us minimise the impact of COVID-19 on our most vulnerable and ensure that isolation doesn’t have to mean coping alone.
We’d love to hear if you hold any of these events and don’t forget to tag us into your social posts.
Register your virtual fundraiser
From online pub quizzes, to hosting an online bingo, virtual running and steps challenges the opportunities are endless.
Host a Virtual Collection Tin
Did you know a collection tin could hold £50? Host your very own collection tin from your home, create a Just Giving page and set up a virtual collection through Facebook Live, Zoom or Skype and invite family and friends join you and to donate.
Virtual Vintage Tea Party
Let your friends and family know the date and time to join you on Skype, Zoom or Google Hangouts and have a catch up over a cup of tea and cake. Create a Just Giving page and ask everyone to donate how much they would have spent picking up a hot drink on their way to work.
Virtual Pub Quiz
Get the questions ready and ask your friends and family to join you online for a bit of fun competition. Ask the teams to pay their entry fee to your Just Giving page.
Step Up! for Royal Voluntary Service
Challenge yourself to do as many steps as you can over two weeks in Step up! for Royal Voluntary Service
in any way that works for you! You can count all the steps you take at home, in your garden or walking the dog.
Grow with the Flow
With strict instructions to stay indoors, trips to the hairdressers have become a luxury of the past leaving many of us wondering how on earth we will keep our locks in check during lockdown. Grow your hair or shave it off! Set up a Just Giving page and ask people to donate.
Host a lesson from home
Are you a brilliant chef or an incredible crafter? Can you share your skills with friends and family and help them learn something new.
