Royal Voluntary Service is partnering with Yakult to help raise awareness and motivate more volunteers by creating three films that showcase the difference Royal Voluntary Service volunteers make in keeping older people socially connected in the community and aiding recovery in hospital.
The first film in the #MakeADifference series, will highlight the importance of our volunteer led lunch clubs in providing older people with a place to enjoy a nutritious hot meal amongst friends.
"Royal Voluntary Service has provided care and support for the community for over 80 years. Although the challenges have changed over the years, the need for volunteers is still as important as ever. In this campaign we hope to highlight some of the fantastic work the team do to inspire the next generation of volunteers to help look after people in their local communities."Reshma Patel, Marketing Manager for Yakult UK and Ireland
Yakult, a brand that cares about promoting healthy ageing, is a valued supporter of Royal Voluntary Service and has been involved in a number of our flagship fundraising campaigns and events including GrandFest in June 2015.
They have supported the Big Sunday Lunch, our fundraising event to gather friends and family for a meal to raise money to help end loneliness among older people and the Great Brew Break, our fundraising event which launched in 2013. This annual fundraiser saw tea events being held by Royal Voluntary Service volunteers, customers, staff and members of the public to raise funds for Royal Voluntary Service.
