We are an innovative charity that focuses on inspiring people to give the gift of voluntary service to support the NHS and older people at home and in the community. We are now looking for two Retail Customer Assistants to join our team on a part time basis.
Within a welcoming and team-focused environment, you will have the chance to undertake great training and make a positive difference to the hospital’s visitors, staff and patients.
As the Retail Customer Assistant, you’ll ensure the smooth running of our busy café/shop in Scarborough Hospital.
In this varied role, your duties will involve:
- Providing a friendly, helpful and efficient service to customers
- Maintaining exceptional store standards
- Preparing and serving hot and cold food and drinks
- Operating the till and handling cash
- Assisting the team in the accurate completion of regular stock checks
Interested? To be considered, you’ll need excellent customer service skills
Self-motivated and organised, as a Retail Customer Assistant, you’ll have superb communication skills. You’ll also be friendly and personable with a caring, sensitive approach to customers, staff and volunteers.
Although not essential, knowledge of EPOS systems would be beneficial, as would general administration experience. IT skills would also be an advantage.
Please note, these are part time roles, working eight hours per week, which will include 7:30am starts and 6:30pm finishes. You will also be required to work weekends as part of a rota.
