We are an innovative charity that focuses on inspiring people to give the gift of voluntary service to support the NHS and older people at home and in the community. We are now looking for a Retail Customer Assistant to join us on a part time basis.

As a Retail Customer Assistant, you’ll support the smooth running of our client’s retail outlet and café in Western General Hospital.
In this engaging and vital role, you will deliver high levels of the customer service to all visitors whilst maintaining high levels of retail and food hygiene standards.
Specifically, your role will involve:
- Replenishing shelves and chillers
- Stock control
- Cash handling
- Highlighting promotions and upselling to customers
- Pricing stock correctly
- Completing merchandising activities

- Excellent customer service skills
Self-motivated and organised, as a Retail Customer Assistant, you’ll have superb communication skills. You’ll also be friendly and personable with a caring, sensitive approach to customers.
The ability to proficiently use industry standard IT systems (eg Microsoft Office, email and the internet) to a basic level would be beneficial to your application. Knowledge of EPOS systems would also be an advantage, as would knowledge and experience of general administrative processes. Previous experience in a similar retail environment would be equally desirable.
This is a part-time role, working 30 hours per week over seven days.
