We are an innovative charity that focuses on inspiring people to give the gift of voluntary service to support the NHS and older people at home and in the community. We are now looking for a Retail Customer Assistant to join our team on a part time basis.
Within a welcoming and team-focused environment, you will have the chance to undertake great training and make a positive difference to the hospital’s visitors, staff and patients.
As a Retail Customer Assistant, you’ll provide a high level of service to customers at our busy shop and café in Western General Hospital.
Within a fast-paced environment as this busy hospital, you will:
Operate the till and undertake cash reconciliation tasks
Ensure that the café and shop are well-presented
Help to prepare food and beverages
Receive stock orders and put them into the EPOS system
Interested? To be considered, you’ll need excellent customer service skills.
Self-motivated and organised, as a Retail Customer Assistant, you’ll have superb communication skills. You’ll also be friendly and personable with a caring, sensitive approach to customers and volunteers.
Experience gained within a similar retail environment would be beneficial to your application, as would knowledge of EPOS systems. Knowledge or experience of general administrative processes would also be advantageous, as would proficiency in industry standard IT systems (MS Office, email and the internet).
This is a part time role, working 30 hours per week flexibly across seven days.
