We are an innovative charity that focuses on inspiring and enabling people to give the gift of voluntary service to enrich and support their communities. We are now seeking a Records Management Officer to join our team in Cardiff.

With a rich history and a vast range of services on offer, we have an extensive records function that needs effective control, management and administration. You will have the chance to fulfil this vital need and help progress them into the evolution of their system as it become digital and electronic.

As the Records Management Officer, you’ll be tasked with supporting record keeping and management activities through the provision of an administrative and communication service across the organisation.

Specifically, you will staff the email inbox, responding to queries or requests, support the implementation of records management policies and retention schedules and help to implement an electronic document management system.

You’ll help to generate an understanding of the record creation, generation and storage system in place, arrange for off-site storage of non-current records and manuals and work with the Archivist to identify and transfer records for permanent perseveration.

So, is this the role for you? If so, you will need:

  • Practical experience in documenting or managing records
  • An awareness of and interest in records management principles and practice
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, in particular Excel

Supportive and flexible, as the Records Management Officer, you will also need strong communication and research skills to deal effectively with verbal and written enquiries and a close attention to detail.

A recognised qualification in Records Management would also be an advantage.

This is a full time role working 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

The closing date for this role is the 22nd July 2018 with interviews scheduled for the 10th August 2018 in Cardiff.
