Visiting the Heritage Collection

Visit the Archive & Heritage Collection
Members of the public are able to visit our Heritage Collection in Devizes, Wiltshire.

The collection is open by appointment:

  • the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month
  • 10:00-16:00 (closed for lunch between 13:00-14:00).

To ensure we can provide a high standard of service, access is by appointment only and we ask that these are made at least a month in advance.

Access to our collection is limited to two researchers per day and visits from new researchers will be prioritised over those from researchers who have already visited that calendar year.

Researchers will need to provide photographic ID and proof of address in order to access the collection and also complete a reader registration form and accept our terms of use before they visit.

The use of personal copying devices is not permitted by visiting researchers, however copies of original material can be provided by the Keeper of Heritage subject to data protection and preservation restrictions.

If you are a researcher and are interested in visiting the Heritage Collection, or if you have any questions, then please contact us.
