The Times

The Times appeal with Royal Voluntary Service
Royal Voluntary Service were selected as one of the charities chosen to benefit from the 2012 Times Christmas Appeal.

Our appeal focused on the vital services that Royal Voluntary Service provides to help older people overcome the loneliness they often experience and can be felt most keenly at Christmas time.

The Times published ten Royal Voluntary Service features in the paper and online during the appeal period which aimed to encourage donations, new volunteers and take up of Royal Voluntary Service services from Times readers.  The appeal was very successful and raised over £290,000 through matched funding, individual donations and gifts directly to the charity.
