Gas Safe Register

Gas Sage partnership with Royal Voluntary Service
Gas Safe Register is the official register of gas engineers legally allowed to work on gas appliances in the home and workplace.

With funding from Gas Safe Charity, Royal Voluntary Service and Gas Safe Register worked together during Autumn 2011 to raise awareness about gas safety and the risk of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning amongst the over 65s.

Royal Voluntary Service piloted a campaign in the South West of England and rolled it out to four other regions including the east of England and West Midlands.

Since then Royal Voluntary Service has continued to work with Gas Safe Register to promote Gas Safety Week, an annual event that helps to raise awareness about gas safety and the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning particularly amongst the over 65s.

"Gas Safe Register is delighted to be working with Royal Voluntary Service on this campaign. When central heating systems and gas fires are switched on this autumn, Royal Voluntary Service will be advising older people how to keep gas safe."
