Building effective partnerships is vital to our work - enabling us to make an impact on the lives of more older people throughout the country. We work with local authorities, health boards, trusts and other commissioning bodies in a wide range of partnerships that are complimentary and strengthen the work we do.
Our area of expertise is in simple and preventative support – providing that little bit of practical help that makes a proven impact on the lives of the older person.
See how we're helping older people get back to enjoying life when they're home from hospital. We're calling for Home from Hospital support for every older person who needs it, so no one has to go home alone - and you could help by commissioning services in your local area.
Let's end going home alone
Royal Voluntary Service delivers cost-effective, life-changing support to older people in Britain. Much of our work is delivered with the help of strategic partnerships with local authorities, clinical commissioning groups, trusts and other charities.
We already work with over 200 local authorities and our point of difference is our user-centred approach. What matters is that every older person can get the help they need locally to live the life they want.
Our new health strategy places our 450 cafés and shops hospitals at the centre of Royal Voluntary Service's volunteer based health services. The money we gift back to UK hospitals will contribute to developing these services.
By supporting our work you will be helping make Britain a great place to grow old. Royal Voluntary Service has a proven and significant impact on the lives of older people in this country and demand is growing.
At both local community and national level, we work with a range of trusts and grant giving bodies to enable us to support more older people.
Royal Voluntary Service works in partnership with other charities such as the Dementia Alliance, the Campaign to end Loneliness, Age Action Alliance and others.
