Good Morning Britain 1 Million Minutes logoRoyal Voluntary Service is supporting Good Morning Britain’s 1 Million Minutes campaign to reduce social isolation and loneliness in older people.

Pledge your support

The ITV breakfast programme is highlighting the plight of one million older people who are lonely in the UK today. Their campaign calls on members of the public to pledge just 30 minutes of volunteering to make an older person feel less alone.

Christmas and the New Year can be one of the loneliest times of year for older people. Royal Voluntary Service alongside The Silver Line and Age UK are offering opportunities to help.

Royal Voluntary Service ambassador, Wayne Sleep OBE, will appear on the programme to talk about the importance of the charity. Some of our inspiring volunteers will also be featured.

Show your support and pledge to volunteer as part of the 1 Million Minutes campaign.
