Volunteers are vital to the work of Royal Voluntary Service. Without them Royal Voluntary Service simply wouldn’t exist.
More than 40,000 dedicated community volunteers deliver services that help older people live the life they want to. They make a massive difference within their communities and are committed to helping older people live independent and fulfilled lives. Whether it’s taking an older person to the shops, delivering a meal to them or even walking their dog – you can make a big difference that is appreciated and valued.
Anyone over the age of 14 can join us and the great thing about volunteering is that it’s so flexible. You can fit it around all of the other things that you have to do. Whether you can spare a few hours once a week or fortnight or can give a couple of days each month we will have an opportunity for you.
We all know that the number of older people in our communities is set to grow in the future and we have to be ready. So over the next few years we will be expanding our services and developing new ones so our need for community volunteers will be even greater.
And watch out for exciting new opportunities to help us raise awareness and money for Royal Voluntary Services in your local area. We need volunteer fundraising committee chairs to set up and run local groups to fundraise for the charity and fundraising volunteers are needed to help raise money.
Why not be part of making sure that older people where you live get the support they need and want. Come and join us!
We’re committed to make sure you get the most of your volunteering experience with Royal Voluntary Service.
There are many different ways that you can help us to make Britain a great place to grow old.
Whether you are a younger volunteer, approaching retirement or fitting volunteering around your work, there is something for everyone.
